High-quality European steel is hardened to increase its resistance to wear. Later machined to correct dimensions to achieve a perfectly plane surface to reduce vibrations during cutting. Each roller features several grooves that allow for even heat distribution. This unique shape of rollers contributes to your cutting quality.

How often should a blade guide roller be changed?

Estimated life if proper maintenance and operation procedures are followed: 1000 hours. Due to the many variables which exist during sawmill operation, actual part life may vary significantly.

How to take care of your blade guide rollers?

Make sure that after setting your rollers, the back of the blade doesn’t touch the edge of the roller – there should be at least 4 mm gap, angle and pressure of applied to the blade are according to the state of your blades, bearings are in good condition so that the rollers are in a continuous motion to reduce friction between moving parts, which can damage the blade and impact the quality of the cut.
